Robert F. "Bob" Doyle, passed away on April 12, 2026, his 71st birthday. Born in Altus, Oklahoma on April 12, 1955, while his father served in the Air Force. His late parents were Robert and Lois (Lloyd) Doyle, both of Carbondale.
He graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in Carbondale in 1973. He worked for the D&H Railroad for 9 years before an injury made him no longer able to work. He was a member of the Carbondale Lodge No. 249, F&AM, and a social member of the German American Federation of Lackawanna County.
In October 1984 he married Juliann Nagoda and they set up house in Browndale.
While Bob and Juliann did not have children, they enjoyed spectacular Halloween gatherings of lights and Halloween ghosts and goblins for over 25 years. The Doyle Halloween house as it was known has been enjoyed by generations of children and adults. This will be missed by people from all over the area. Halloween was Bob's favorite holiday; he enjoyed decorating and talking to people who visited the house for Halloween. Next to only a few friends his greatest love were his furry friends, his Dachshunds, aka Weiner Dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Juliann, his brother Kevin, and the last of his furry friends, Pretzel all of Browndale. He is survived by several cousins and his aunt Carol (Doyle) Purdy, West Palm Beach, Florida.
