Richard Langer

Richard Michael Langer, also known as "Otis", passed away suddenly at his home in Equinunk, PA on January 1st, 2026, at the age of 81. He was a long-time resident of Northborough, MA before retiring to his residence in PA.

Richard was born in Maspeth, Queens, NYC; he was a Navy veteran, and an accomplished martial artist and taught karate for many years at the Community Center in West Acton, MA. He received his associate's degree at the RCA school of electronics and studied at Northeastern University. He had a long career with Digital Equipment Corporation, Advanced Modular Solutions and Compaq Corporation as a Computer Hardware Engineer.

Making an impression wherever he went, he enjoyed spending time with family, taking family photos, and was always good for a laugh.

Richard is survived by his two children, Stephanie A. Langer and fiancé Josh McBride of Westborough, MA, and Ethan M. Langer and fiancée Sasha Badov of Dedham, MA, as well as his former wife Diana Langer of Northborough, MA, and several grandpets.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Richard's memory to either the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association and/or share a memory on the funeral home's website.
