Richard Keenan

Richard C. Keenan, 63, of South Canaan passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at home. Richard will be deeply missed by his wife Gwendolyn (Johnson) Keenan and her family; we all loved Richard since he joined our family 13 years ago.

Born October 4, 1960, he was the son of the late Carl J. and Kathryn "Kitty" (Reifler) Keenan.

Richard was a lifelong carpenter and small business owner. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan. Richard was a Freemason; a member and Past Master of the Waymart Masonic Lodge #542.

In addition to his loving wife Gwendolyn, Richard will also be missed by his sisters, Carol Zawislak and her son Chaz, and Paula Williams and her husband Charlie and their family.

Richard's family would like to thank all of our local First Responders for their dedication and compassion; we are truly grateful.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
