Martin E. Haeussler

Martin E. Haeussler, 77, of Lakewood, died suddenly, of natural causes on Friday, February 6, 2026 at his home.

Born December 15, 1948 in Morristown, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Erwin A. and Leoma J. (Kean) Haeussler.

For many years, Marty was a custodian at Preston Elementary School in Lakewood. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with friends at the Fox Bowling Center in Hancock, NY. An outgoing and friendly person, Marty was well known in Northern Wayne County where he enjoyed many friendships. Marty enjoyed hunting and fishing; he loved everything about the great outdoors. He especially loved spending time at his hunting property in Kentucky with his friends Butch and Donna. Marty was blessed to have many people who cared about him; especially his friends Mindy and Beverly who always looked out for him, and his friend Calvin with whom he spent time and hunted with in Western Pennsylvania.

Marty is also survived by his brother, Robert E. Haeussler and his wife Ellen of Hawley, PA.

Marty was also preceded in death by a cousin, Jeanette Badia.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public services.
