Joyce Spittel

Joyce M. Spittel, 84, of Waymart, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, September 6, 2024 at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Raymond Spittel.

Born January 30, 1940 in Elmira, New York, she was the daughter of the late James Arthur "Bill" Burndidge and Arlene (Conklin) Brundidge.

She is survived by three children: Connie Hansen of Archbald, Michael Spittel of Honesdale, and Mary Swendsen of Carbondale; a sister, Jane Young of Millerton, PA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Joyce was also preceded in death by three children: Stephen Spittel, Douglas Spittel, and Bethann Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date.
