Jack E. Sinawa

Jack E. Sinawa, 77, of Waymart died Sunday afternoon, November 12, 2023 at the Carbondale Nursing Home, after an illness.

Born March 29, 1946 in Waymart, he was the son of the late George H. and Clara Elizabeth (Kizer) Sinawa.

Jack was well known in Waymart throughout his life. He could often be found mowing lawns or taking a walk around the town. Like the rest of his family, Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to be in the great outdoors. He will be fondly remembered by those who knew him and called him a friend.

Jack is survived by many nieces and nephews; and also, by his friends.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Rodney, George Jr., Edward, David, Harry Sr., Clara May Murphy, Mary Castle, Margaret Bailey, and Anna Silick.

Jack's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Sue and Chris Coccodrilli and their family for their steadfast friendship and loyalty, and also to the staff at Carbondale Nursing Home for the compassionate care they provided.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. in the Waymart Cemetery at Canaan Corners, Owego Turnpike, Waymart with Pastor Wendy D'Agostino officiating. Everyone attending is asked to go directly to the cemetery.

There will be no public viewing.
