Donald F. Bock, 92, of Waymart passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, May 3, 2025 at Wayne Woodlands Manor with his family at his side. His loving wife of 67 years, the former Ann Spewak, survives him. They were married on May 31, 1958.

Born April 11, 1933 in Vandling, he was the son of the late Fred and Pearl (Barna) Bock.

Don was raised in his hometown of Vandling and was a 1950 graduate of Vandling High School. Soon after, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served until his honorable discharge. Don was a Korean War veteran.

A skilled craftsman with a keen sense of attention to detail, Don worked for the Bricklayers Union for more than 50 years. He enjoyed woodworking and proudly built many fine pieces throughout the years. Don and Ann enjoyed camping and traveling together. In their retirement, they explored the western states and the Canadian Rockies.

Don will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

In addition to his beloved wife Ann, he is also survived by his daughter, Karen Gibney and her husband William of Honesdale; his grandson, Lukas Bock; his brother, Edward Bock and his wife Barbara of Vandling; nieces; and nephews.

Don was also preceded in death by his son, Ronald Bock in 2012.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff members of Wayne Woodlands Manor for the loving and compassionate care that has been provided to both Don and Ann.

In accordance with Don's wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Don's memory to Wayne Woodlands Manor, directed to their Activities Department which provides meaningful experiences and enjoyment to all of the residents. Donations may be mailed directly to Wayne Woodlands Manor, 37 Woodlands Drive, Waymart, PA 18472.

Private interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Pleasant Mount.
