David E. Bayly

David Bayly, 84, of Waymart died peacefully Sunday morning, March 24, 2024 at Geisinger Community Medical Center. He was the son of the late Elwin and Margaret Bayly of Honesdale. Dave is survived by his wife Molly Clearwater Bayly, whom he married in Catskill, NY in 1960.

Dave was a graduate of Honesdale High School. Prior to his retirement as Dispatcher and Transportation Manager at Maidrite Steak Company in Dunmore, he drove truck for most of his life.

Dave is also survived by his six children: Debbie (Bob) Komar, Doug (Lisa) Bayly, Chuck (Harriet) Bayly, Denise (Karl) Williams, Donna (Kevin) Urian all of Waymart; and Jim Bayly (Mary Kennedy) of Cochranton, PA; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are brothers: Jim (Joey) Bayly, Oakdale, CA; Dan Bayly, Honesdale; Tom (Sue) Bayly, Imperial, PA; Steve (Carmen) Bayly, Annandale, NJ; and a sister, Jean (Frank) Wollrab, Clarksville, GA.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Bill Bayly of Buena Vista, VA.

Dave was a devoted husband, father, friend and community member. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be private.
