Constance M. Booths

Constance M. Booths, 80, of Lake Alden, passed away peacefully at her cherished home, surrounded by the love of her family. Her husband of nearly 60 years, Andrew J. Booths, survives her. They were married on August 31, 1963. Born December 2, 1942 in Waymart, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Miller) Lubinski, and was the oldest of all of her siblings. Connie was a graduate of Waymart High School and Scranton Beauty School where she became a licensed beautician. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Church in Waymart and their Altar and Rosary Society. Connie was also a former member of the Waymart American Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary. She was well known throughout the community for her gifted ability of making crafts. Connie’s trademark crafts included Raggedy Ann dolls and snowmen. She loved to knit and crochet sweaters & scarves. Connie and her husband enjoyed spending many winters in Florida and traveling. Most of all, Connie loved being with her family at Lake Alden which was her favorite place to be. In addition to her husband Andrew, she is also survived by four children: Michele Booths of Hatboro, PA, Debbie Fickert (Curtis) of Gilbertsville, PA, Brian Booths (Deanna) of Carlisle, PA, and Nicole Toigo (Jesse) of Perkiomenville, PA; grandchildren: Andrew, Ashleigh, and Chase; brothers and sisters: Ralph Lubinski (Karen) , Judy Osborn (Norvel), Nancy Phillips (Kenneth), Robert Lubinski (Barbara), Thomas Lubinski, and James Lubinski (Laurie); a sister-in-law, Leocadia Hartman; and granddogs: Skye, Bolt,Baxter and Hank. Connie was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Celeste Washeleski. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Noon in St. Mary’s Church, 242 Carbondale Road, Waymart, PA. Friends and family may visit on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 5-7 PM in the Howell Family Funeral Home, Inc. Edward R. Howell, Funeral Director, 269 Belmont Street, Waymart, PA, and also on Saturday morning from 11-11:55 AM in St. Mary’s Church. Everyone attending on Saturday is asked to go directly to the church. Interment will be in The Waymart Cemetery at Canaan Corners. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Amyloidosis Foundation (https://amyloidosis.org).
