Claudia R. Kerylovicz

Claudia R. Kerylovicz, 76, of Waymart, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, June 22, 2026 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. Her husband, Lawrence J. Kerylovicz, Jr. preceded her in death on November 10, 1992.

Born June 17, 1950 in Carbondale, Claudia was the daughter of the late Jean (Swingle) Upright.

Claudia grew up in Waymart, and attended Waymart High School. Her kind, sincere, and compassionate personality led her to a long career as a Certified Nurses Aide. Claudia's bright and cheerful smile was a hallmark at Wayne Woodlands Manor where she cared for residents and staff alike for more than 30 years. Among her family and close friends, she was best known as "Mom" and "Grandma." She dearly loved her dog, Priscilla, and was grateful for the companionship they shared. Claudia loved her family more than anything else in this world; she will be remembered for her steadfast presence, love, and commitment to others.

Claudia is survived by three children: Thomas Kerylovicz and his wife Pam of Montrose, Lisa Wigfall and her husband Carl of Carbondale, and Jennica Kerylovicz and her wife Cynthia Hazen of Waymart; 6 grandchildren: Amanda, Keith and his wife Ashley, Ryan, Nicole, Katlyn and her husband Xavier, and Keanna; 4 great-grandchildren: Callie, Michael, Lainey, Juliana; and one more great-granddaughter on the way, Kennedy; two sisters: Linda Enslin and Pandora Yates; nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Kerylovicz DellaRocco in 2021.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Wendy D'Agostino officiating in The Waymart Cemetery at Canaan Corners. Everyone attending is asked to go directly to the cemetery on Thursday.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, June 24 from 4-7 PM at the Howell Family Funeral Home, Inc., Edward R. Howell, Funeral Director, 269 Belmont Street, Waymart, PA 18472.
