Christopher James Enslin, 25, of Dunmore died Monday evening, October 9, 2023 in Roaring Brook Township from injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident.

He was born December 30, 1997 in Honesdale.

Chris was a kind and caring young man who will be remembered as an amazing Dad who loved spending time with his son. He worked for Dennis Carney Tree Service alongside his father which was a special gift for both of them. Christopher was his mother's best friend and constant cheerleader who supported her with good advice and unwavering love. He shared a special bond with his grandmother who held a special place his heart. Christopher enjoyed Monster energy drinks and playing PlayStation5 every day. Full of life and endless love, Chris would often say, "I'm living the dream." He was also known to tell others that his middle name was "careful," especially when he was being encouraged to live up to that standard. Chris meant so much to so many people; his impact will live on the in hearts and lives of all who were blessed to have been loved by him.

Christopher is survived by his mother, Cynthia M. (Enslin) Diehl and her husband Fred Diehl of Dunmore; his father, Jason West of Moscow; his beloved son, Christopher Ryan Enslin, age 4; his girlfriend, Austyn Clemo; his daughter Matianna Merci Marie DeGroat, age 8; maternal grandmother, Ruth Ann (Shaffer) Enslin of Dunmore; maternal grandfather, John Enslin and his wife Tawanna of Texas; brothers, Matthew Hooftallen, Hunter West, and Odin West; sisters, Ashley Jenkins, Jessica West, and Elysia Diehl; his best friend, Dylan Carida; a niece; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Mae Shaffer.

Memorial Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
