Charlotte A. Decker

Charlotte A. Decker, 95, of Hawley, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2026 at Wayne Memorial Hospital after an illness. Her husband, Harry "Chuck" F. Decker preceded her in death on May 4, 2002.

Born on June 1, 1931 in Queens, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Nieman) Conklin.

Charlotte is survived by a sister, Eileen Santoro of Long Island, NY; a brother, John Conklin of New Jersey; nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael J. Decker; step-daughters, Dianne McKinstrie and Ruth Ann Robinson; a brother, Vincent Conklin; and two sisters, Marion Shendler, and Margaret Vatter.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public services.

Following cremation, Charlotte will be laid to rest with her husband and son in St. Columba Cemetery, Chester, NY.
