BobbiJo Bronson Burrasca, 50, of Forest City died peacefully, after an illness on Sunday morning, October 5, 2025 at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. She was the wife of Joseph Burrasca who survives her. They were married on October 31, 2003, Halloween day.
Born in Carbondale on January 6, 1975, she was the daughter of Arthur G. and Theresa (Faller) Bronson of Waymart, both of whom survive her.
BobbiJo was a 1994 graduate of Western Wayne High School. She will be remembered for her kind and loving personality. She enjoyed nothing more than making others happy. A talented baker and cake decorator, BobbiJo took pride in her work and loved to light up the room wherever she went. She was an amazing and devoted mom, wife, daughter, sister, and auntie who will never be forgotten. Her tender love was often seen as she cared for her four cats that she welcomed into her home. BobbiJo dreamed of going to the beach in California and walking the shoreline with her daughter in Santa Monica. Although sadly, that will not happen in this life, her family takes comfort in knowing that someday, they will be together again and will walk the shoreline of Heaven, hand in hand for all of eternity.
In addition to her husband and parents, BobbiJo is also survived by her beloved daughter, EmmaJo Burrasca of Studio City, California; a brother, Arthur G. Bronson and his wife Kate of Lake Ariel; two sisters: Karey Ann Bronson of Dalton, and Nancy Lynn Thompson and her husband Shadd of Waymart; Her Aunt Boo of Carbondale, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
BobbiJo was preceded in death by her grandparents: John and Esther (Cobb) Faller and James and Emma (Seeley) Bronson, along with niece Jazmin May Thompson.
In accordance with her wishes, a Celebration of Life with friends and family will be held at a later date.
Interment will be private in The Waymart Cemetery at Canaan Corners.
