Anna M. Wilmot

Anna M. Wilmot, 63, of Honesdale, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, August 17, 2026 at Allied Skilled Nursing in Scranton after an extended illness.

Born April 13, 1963 in Fort Dix, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Alyce H. (Spangenberg) Derrick.

Anna was a truly special person who impacted the lives of countless others throughout her journey in this world. A practitioner of spiritual health and wellness, Anna operated "On Centered Wings" in Honesdale for many years. Her strength and determination were evidenced by her battle against cancer since 2009.

She will be remembered as the sweetest lady whose humor, kindness and love resonated throughout the community. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother who always put others first. Anna will never be forgotten and her love will continue in the lives of her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Mark A. Wilmot and his wife Dannielle of Honesdale; two grandchildren: Reagan Wilmot and Isaac Wilmot; brothers and sisters: Harold Derrick and his wife Chris of Beach Lake, Edward Derrick and his wife Joan of Honesdale, Michael Derrick and his wife Peggy of Willingboro, NJ, Blanche Sampson of Honesdale, and Judy Bannan of Honesdale; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Derrick and nephew, Kyle Derrick.

In accordance with her wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anna's memory to the American Cancer Society.
